Why write?

The word has always been important for me... the written, spoken and even the unspoken ones... and I have from time to time been doing it for my own eyes only, but the idee to just put the words out there was tempting... even exciting!

Why tango?

So why tango?
When I was sitting in France, waiting to rejoin my family having moved back to Sweden. I started to open some unpacked boxes with drawings from my youth..
and among those I found a list, I had done being 10-11y old.. listing “things I want to do as grown up”.. I started to tick of a lot that in fact I have done ... but one line rested unticked.. “to learn tango”
Something about grace, movement, body control has always fascinated me… that’s why martial arts and not football as a kid etc.. When being asked as a teen what I wanted to be if not a Haute Coture designer I used to answer “a contemporary dancer from Africa”.. I suppose I was a nightmare for the study advisors… Anyway, as an adult its of course still the same things that fascinated me as a kid but today what I love with tango is that …when it happens, its not always.. but when! by holding someone in your arms, feeling the music, you will give part of your soul and a feeling... that is danced... to another human being…and you feel the play of the muscles, you feel the breath entering and leaving the other persons lungs while you try to copy the rhythm, and you can feel the heartbeat... It´s an extra ordinary feeling.. and something magical is happening being placed in the percfect center between the two persons...

In moments of leisure...

The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald

“I am slow-thinking and full of interior rules that act as brakes on my desires”

“He smiled understandingly-much more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life. It faced--or seemed to face--the whole eternal world for an instant, and then concentrated on you with an irresistible prejudice in your favor. It understood you just as far as you wanted to be understood, believed in you as you would like to believe in yourself, and assured you that it had precisely the impression of you that, at your best, you hoped to convey.”

“I wasn't actually in love, but I felt a sort of tender curiosity.”

Things I cant resist a rainy sunday:

Breakfast at Tiffanys....Qoutes Holly Golightly:
"It's better to look at the sky than live there. Such an empty place; so vague. Just a country where the thunder goes and things disappear"

"I'll never get used to anything. Anybody that does, they might as well be dead."

"Promise me one thing: don't take me home until I'm drunk - very drunk indeed"

Words...

If I could have
just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine...
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.
- Courtney Kuchta –

She walks in beauty, like
the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
- Lord Byron
